Zen meditation experience at Jusyo-in, Kyoto

Established in 1599, Jusho-in Zen Buddhist Temple is one of the 46 sub-temples situated in Japan’s largest Zen Buddhist monastery, Myoshinji Temple.
Experience Zen in a quiet temple that is closed to the public. Receive direct instruction from Zen monks on meditation. Zen meditation whilst you enjoy a sophisticated and extraordinary experience.

Solo visitors are welcome. If the number of participants is fewer than 5, a minimum fee equivalent to 5 persons applies. Sessions accommodate up to 50 persons. Available any day between 8AM and 9PM — simply contact us to arrange your preferred date and time.

Public Transport

Jusyo-in is about a 5-minute walk from Myoshinji-kitamon-mae bus stop and Randen Myoshinji station .
And about 10-minute walk from JR Hanazono station (the 5th stop from Kyoto station),
